Welcome to the cooler weather. Good to see children coming to school dressed more warmly and in uniform. Please chat with Mrs Royal in the office if you need any uniform items.

As usual Goolma Public is alive with opportunities for your children.

Next week we will join with Ulan, Cassilis and Ballimore Public Schools for a stage 3 leadership camp at Red Hill Environ-mental Education Centre. Students will then return to their schools to lead a project with support from Red Hill. This fits so well with our involvement with Kids Teaching Kids where our students will teach those from other schools about an environmental issue at Goolma. This morning we have had two guest explaining Kids Teaching Kids to staff followed by a session with the children.

We will travel in our wonderful bus to Hargraves Public School for our annual Musica Viva event. Mrs Rae has organised other activities for our school too.

Our combined small schools NAIDOC meeting looks like being term 3. Mr Swaine has visited our school and is keen to develop a fabulous opportunity for us to celebrate NAIDOC in an entirely different way. Expect to be involved in this new program.

We are keen to introduce him to Goolma Public.

Jayden is pretty excited to welcome a new baby brother. He’ll no doubt be a play group chap. Thursday morning is the time to bring our future students together. Mr Hudson is really good at painting!

Mrs Jean Ellis is a tireless contributor to our school. She has taken on our Return and Earn process. Everyone who donates their bottles and cans to school is thanked. Jean takes them to Wellington and returns with the cash. She would really appreciate if we could keep bottles and cans separate as it takes her a lot longer to sort them out. The jams she had at our front gate stall went very quickly last week. Thank you Jean for your consistent support of our fabulous school.

Our group of schools, Mudgee Network, has a new relieving Director Of Learning. Mr Keith Duran from Young High School. We are keen to introduce him to Goolma Public.

Currently we are working with the Communication and Engagement Directorate to be better able to get the positive Goolma Public messages out to the wider community. Please do feel welcome to offer your thoughts.
